FT down again. Why?
Mostly all I could get was 500 server errors. What's going on?
|
same here, log on, then "server error 500". Down about 10 min. or so.

Just got an update from the tech team at IB. The turbulence you just experienced was due to a hiccup in the system while they were upgrading a piece of the core software on the server. They are confident they have fixed the problem and dealt with any related issues, and it should be smooth sailing from here.
Sorry for the bumpy ride folks. |

What is MyFlyerTalk this mean? How? Where is it? I didn't see it. Could you please explaining to me for me? Thanks for your concerns.

While the core software/forums were down, I could still access a few pages e.g. my FT profile.
That might have been due to it having loaded while the database was working or it might be using a different database link. It's good to have you all back. ;) |
"my flyer talk" still broken for me as of 6:22 PST
|
Wierd. For me myflyertalk is working, but I cannot get to the main forum page. I'm trying to navigate using my subscribed threads, which is a poor partial solution.
Edited to add, the forum jump at bottom of the screen seems to work okay to navigate around. |
FT is working for me (I think) but only if I access it as www.flyertalk.com, rather than http://flyertalk.com.

Had the same problem with MyFlyerTalk - getting a page not found error. But OK again now after I deleted the old MyFlyerTalk link and creating a new link.

I had not been able to acceess FT for over a day, then I sent an email to another FT'er who said everything was fine. I'm logged in now via MS Internet Explore (which I don't use), but cannot access site from Firefox
|
It appears that FT's URLs have been changed.
Old: http://www.flyertalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=457 New: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni-457/ ---> Old bookmarks are now obsolete. |
The tech team is working on getting those links working again. Old bookmarks will not be obsolete!
