Does not show thread after posting using FF

I'm using the latest version of FireFox but after posting a reply to a thread it hangs on a square advert and I have to refresh the page to see the thread again, most annoying. Does anyone else suffer from this? It doesn't occur on any other vBulletin forums I visit :(

I'm unable to duplicate this using FF 3.0.5. Is that the same version you are using?

Furton Jan 8, 2009 10:21 am

Yes, this is how the page looks after posting.

Thanks for the screen shot, that's very helpful. I'll pass this along to the tech team for further investigation.

Furton,

Try clearing your browser cache and then let us know if it continues to occur after that.

Furton Jan 8, 2009 12:26 pm

Test, hope it works

Furton Jan 8, 2009 12:28 pm

Nope, same issues :(

Edit: Just worked correctly using the full reply feature, not the quick post.

Stormybot Jan 8, 2009 3:12 pm

Ok. We narrowed down the issue to one of the ads on he page. Our advertising department will work with one of our vendors to figure out what the issue is with this ad.

Same issue??

My post shows on the board but does not come up in My Posts or My Threads.

Testing once again.

Stormybot Jan 9, 2009 5:35 pm

Ok. The Firefox quick reply issue appears to have been fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

my recent posts are not listed in "my posts" and I am unable to subscribe to threads (although come to think of it, I received an email about your response. it's not listed in "MY Threads" and when I say subscribe, it keeps telling me "no emails").

Is there a max # of subscriptions?? I have 23. I have cleared my cache.

This is due to the IB Beta Search not indexing properly.

This is a well-known ongoing problem and the most recent incident has been reported on 1/6/09 in this Search Problems master thread.

It is search related. I don't know if there is a maximum number of subscriptions, but I have several hundred at least.
