Is Search Busted Again?
 

All my searches are returning blank pages.

Seems so, I am getting the same thing now as well.

edited to add: it's even "busted" when trying to "find all posts by user" from their profile as i was looking for one of my posts and tried to search for it that way but got the blank page that way too.

Just want to let everyone know that we are aware of the Search issue and the tech team is working on it.

In the meantime, the best I can recommend is to use Google site search. To search FlyerTalk specifically using Google, enter a search term in the following format:

"search term" site:flyertalk.com

So, for example, if you wanted to search for instances of the term "Search Busted" you would enter into the Google search box:

"search busted" site:flyertalk.com

Sort of like chewing nicorette gum when what you really want is a Marlboro, but hopefully it will get you through until the FT search is repaired :p

I assume this search outage includes "My threads" and "My posts"?

I am unsure where Search is picking up the title for threads. I just searched for "Istanbul" in the title in the Starwood forum. One of the results returned is:

Sheraton Istanbul question

When actually the thread title is:

Sheraton Istanbul, Turkey [Master Thread].

When I look down the thread, "Sheraton Istanbul Question" is actually the title used in the 29th post.

At least you're getting something -- still seems busted to me. A search for threads over the last few days continues to turn up blank pages.

So, I just did the "My threads" search. Looks like the index hasn't been updated in a few days as it only returns threads I posted in at the latest a few days ago.
