Link versus URL?
 
How do I show a URL as a link vesrus the URL itself, (such as in "my signature")? I tried following the suggestions here, but I must be doing something wrong.

Highlight your text label, then click the "Insert link" icon (globe with a chain-link under it) and type the URL.
