Deleting posts/threads
I need to delete a thread that I recently started (long story). I found the instructions in the FT FAQ, but it doesn't seem to work. FT says to click the "edit" button under the first post in the thread, and then follow the instructions from there. But nowhere do I see a "delete" option. Can somebody advise?

i can and will be more than pleased to assist. The problem likely lies in the restriction to delete a thread that you started. You can edit the comments out of the post itself, but not delete the post which would cause the thread to disappear and given that others spent time replying, seems useful to retain the conversation.
A little explanation and I'll be right with you - you do not need to take a number! Cheers, Randy |
Feel free to use the triangle icon in your post. Click on it, and you will get a little pop up box. Write that you would like the post deleted. Send it. The mods who are responsible for the forum will get the message and will happy to do this for you.

Or OP can just PM the mod in that particular forum with the link to that thread, explain her-/himself why the thread should be deleted. I am sure the mod will get right on it and take the proper action.
