Timestamp out by an hour

Seems to have gone forward by an hour since yesterday. No change of daylight saving at my end.

SanDiego1K Mar 8, 2008 2:34 pm

We change time tonight. Sounds like it was off by a day.

ed1 Mar 8, 2008 5:50 pm

Timestamp on my posts is currently correct, maybe someone made an adjustment.

Kiwi Flyer Mar 8, 2008 5:51 pm

Maybe because it is already Sunday here it confused the computer settings?

But that would have to mean somebody messed up the code (you don't run on DST there do you).

Kiwi Flyer Mar 8, 2008 6:23 pm

we're still in DST for a few more weeks

I'm not sure that "confused" is the correct term.

Currently, at the very bottom of my FT page, this is displayed:

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 5:53 pm.
In ~another 8 hours -- @ 2 a.m. Pacific Time -- it will read:

All times are GMT -7. The time now is 2:00 a.m.
So, even though I'm really eight time zones off Zulu, FT will show that I'm merely off by seven. Which, believe me, really messes with my head through early November. :o

Kiwi Flyer Mar 8, 2008 7:03 pm

I think confused is right. GMT+13 = correct. The time now is 4:03pm = not correct.

It's like the server has the wrong time for GMT.

Prospero Mar 9, 2008 1:52 am

My date and time options are set to:

Time zone: GMT
DST correction option: Automatically detect DST settings

Date stamps are 1 hour ahead of GMT, regardless of which setting DST is selected. Sounds like the system's GMT setting is out of kilter.

My time is now an hour ahead also, I'm hoping it will fix itself when Pacific time reaches Daylight time. (0:50 to go)

Aus_Mal Mar 9, 2008 3:27 am

I'm GMT+10 (DST off), and yep everything is showing up an hour in the future.

Hopefully will sort itself out soon. Perhaps the leap year and other issues caused the forum or servers to change DST a day early!

Mine didn't get ahead until DST hit here, that's why I'm hoping it will correct itself when the servers reach DST (0:29 to go).

ed1 Mar 9, 2008 4:01 am

fixed itself

Aus_Mal Mar 9, 2008 4:33 am

Yep, it's fixed for me as well.

Kiwi Flyer Mar 9, 2008 11:26 am

fixed for me too

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 12:13 am.
