3-letter limit on search - possible to create "include" list of words?
I'm new to the forum, looking forward to contributing. I found some useful info on BMI and Diamond club, but had a little trouble searching for some more specific info because "BMI" was too short to be allowed as a search string. Later, I was trying to search for information on laptop power adapters for use in-flight, and I found that my search was blocked because "air" is also only a 3-letter word, and therefore too short.
Would it be possible to add some words to an include list, which would then be allowed for searches? I think it might make the whole search experience easier and richer. |
A couple of suggestions:
You can search BMI* which gets around the 4-letter restriction. Of course, it will return any word which starts with BMI, which isn't as much of a problem as if you were searching for ATL. When you open the search window, select Advanced Search. Then scroll down to the IB Beta Search. The "Beta" search function does not limit the number of letters in a search. There is more info. in the "search" sticky at the top of this forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...00#post9115800 and, in this thread. |
