Breakout/Quit/Exit Search
 

Given the propensity for slow response time generally, may I request an option in the Search feature to stop the search? At present, all I know to do is to "X" out of Flyertalk/close the browser...and then log in all over again.

If you are using IE, can you just click on the back arrow and go to previous screen?

That works for me.

Not always. I use ie6 at work, and this week at times, it seems that FT has taken over my browser. I can't even switch to another program such as email and then back to FT. I'm permanently stuck in FT.

The only way out is to "x" out, or sometimes, use task manager if I'm in a hurry.

I haven't noticed it at home, using IE 7, but I also altered my hosts file at home not to see any ads and that may effect it, though people with FT premium are also complaining.

I still think it may be related to active huge threads. Most boards limit the number of posts allowed in each thread because of the possible serious impact on performance. New threads are started to replace the closed ones.

I wonder if anyone even investigated this possibility.
