Falco Peregrinus Sep 29, 2007 2:46 pm

Same here, seems better now. Terrible 1 hour ago.

Weez Sep 29, 2007 3:09 pm

really frustrating! Repeated "no internet connection" page despite other pages loading and good connection.

Louise:confused:

kiljin Sep 29, 2007 3:10 pm

yup, looks like one of the servers is having an issue.

KyRoamer Sep 29, 2007 3:19 pm

Is there an alternative login URL?

Kiwi Flyer Sep 29, 2007 3:24 pm

The primary FT web server appears to be severely overloaded, and all alternative servers are down (or have been switched off/moved) ...

About 1 in 10 refreshes working from this London connection.

KyRoamer Sep 29, 2007 3:37 pm

I'm a bit better than that. I often do a back and retry. That seems better than a refresh.

Landing Gear Sep 29, 2007 5:10 pm

Why is there no update on the FT homepage explaining this problem to the members?

obscure2k Sep 29, 2007 5:35 pm

First time today I have been successful logging on. Just took me several tries to post this message. The error message I receive is "lost network connection."

lestismore Sep 29, 2007 5:48 pm

sytem not working

after about 20 attempts recognized me and let me in "member". Then every forum i attempted to enter would give me a msg that not working- retry and would get access some of the time. Would appreciate knowing when these issues have been resolved. Even getting access here took repeated tries. Here's hoping "send" works tonight. repeated attempts to send- msg- this forum requires 12 seconds bet.... up to this point no acknowledgement that msg was sent. trying again now 2 minutes later

BoyAreMyArmsTired Sep 29, 2007 6:19 pm

Definite technical problems still. Also getting the connection problem error.

lesenok Sep 29, 2007 6:36 pm

All three FT URL's are exhibiting the same problems.

The servers were recently switched to the Internet Brands who, I'd assume, have 24/7/365 capability.

So perhaps this will be fixed soon or we'll be notified what's happening.

I have been having trouble all day getting onto FT! IE keeps coming up with Page not found. Have cleaned out cache, etc., but still the same on two computers! What gives?

Apparently, Server problems. Don't blame your computer(s).

Actually for me, IE works fine. But firefox won't load some forums of FT such as Technical Issues. :(

Well they are missing 12 hours today.

Maybe I'll get to sleep early tonight since the servers are still pooping out on me. :p

tcook052 Sep 29, 2007 11:17 pm

Seems improved within the past hour, though maybe that's from fewer folks in the East on the site?

For future reference, what are the three FT URLs?

Just Curious

Is there someone from a tech support group that monitors this particular forum? If so it could be real helpful to know the status of the problem. Perhaps they could post noting, they are aware of it, or they are working on it, or they think it is resolved. Right now this thread looks like mostly one way communication that there is a problem, not that anyone is trying to fix it.

Perhaps this forum is not the correct method of reporting problems and getting status on the system, I don't know I am just curious. In general I think whoever maintains flyertalk does an excellent job. I know maintaining servers for a forum this large is not easy.

Sunday morning California time, seems to have been fixed.

Same here... not as irritating as yesterday, but still happening.

I've found that it seems to happen when replying to a message. If I go back to the original thread, and refresh that, my reply is there.

Same here, not information about new PM and answering is almost impossible, but it seems the messagen is sent, at least it is in this folder.

Dovster Sep 30, 2007 1:03 pm

The problem I'm facing now is that I am not getting any e-mail notification of either PMs or new posts to subscribed threads. It has been three hours since the last one was sent to me.

Cholula Sep 30, 2007 1:26 pm

FlyerTalk loads OK now but there are a whole bunch of mostly minor glitches remaining. Including replying to a post, e-mail notification as pointed out above and reports of Quick Reply, Private Messaging and Report Bad Post stalling or not working at all.

KyRoamer Sep 30, 2007 1:58 pm

And my recent posts do not show on my MyFlyerTalk page.

Where is management? Why no official explanation of what is going on.

Well, let's at least give them until the next workday to respond! :):):):)

mikey1003 Sep 30, 2007 9:49 pm

I started another thread regarding posting issues....This must all be related.

Saturday, I couldn't get in for most of the day. Now the posting problems.

mikey1003 Sep 30, 2007 9:56 pm

I opened a second window for FT. My last post, on my other page, shows database error (after 5 minutes chugging away trying to post)

But when 2nd window opened...It was already posted.

I use Firefox BTW.
