Subscription Feature snag?

Dear Technical Team,

I am having problems with the "Subscription Feature".

This has happened a few times... and again tonite on this thread:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=725802

I create a new thread... and before I hit submit, I click on the subscription option under the "Additional Options". I then hit submit. Each time I do this, the subscription does not take. I have to go back into the thread and subscribe again before it will show on my subscribed threads list.

Any suggestion as to what I am doing wrong? Or is that the way it works?

I have the same experience. It never "takes" at the thread creation stage, only when I view the thread and use "Thread Tools" to add a subscription does it work.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I'm looking into possibly causes of this. Thanks,

Tim,

Any update on this? It is still happening to us.

Thanks,

To update - Tim has passed this issue along to the IB tech team, who have in turn passed it along to the vBulletin developers, as it is an issue they were able to duplicate on several installations of the software.

No word at the moment regarding a solution timeframe, but we'll keep you up to date as new info comes in.

Kevin has looked into this and it appears to be a bug in vBulletin, he has reported it to them so hopefully a fix will be included in a update not too long from now. Thanks,
