Search Limitations
 
Isn't about time FT rectified this one:

The search term you specified (LGA) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.


This board is all about airlines and flying/travel. Airports codes worldwide have three letters. When will we be able to search by airport code?

This is something that we are working on rectifying. In the mean time we have a google search page that can be used to make three letter searches. It can be found at:

http://www.flyertalk.com/google_search.php

It would be nice if you do this search, get rejected by the minimum thingie, that you then didn't have to wait 30 seconds before your next search. After all, the first one really wasn't a search at all. :)

The error message may be new, but the inability to search for 3-character terms was one of the "enhancements" implemented in Nov 2006: http://web3.flyertalk.com/forum/show...59#post6779359
