Stopping the blinking?

Other than going right now to the messages area and reading the message, which I know is there and am not interested in, how do I got this to stop blinking? It's very invasive! Are there options to turn off anything that moves on a page?

You can go into your PM box, click on the offending message, and move it to the deleted items folder.

The blinking should then stop.

I agree with Sylvia, I don't like the blinking. I know I can just delete my unread messages, but currently I have 6 to read and just haven't gotten around to reading them (but I will). I find anything blinking to be annoying. Thanks!
