Operation Aborted Error
When you load a new page, if your mouse is over the Home/Forum/Members etc area where a drop down menu appears, you receive an "Operation Aborted Error" under IE6 and 7 and Page Can Not Be Displayed.
I always receive the top section first before the forum loads as I run a local Squid proxy. Small annoyance I have noticed for many months now, doesn't really annoy me, but others might be. |
I'm using Firefox, and it seems to be okay!

I have a similar problem that occurs a few times a day. Doesn't seem to be linked to mouse location, though. A Microsoft Internet Explorer window pops up with the text "Internet Explorer cannot open in the internet site http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=636498. Operation Aborted." I have a screenshot that can be provided if requested.
I click the "OK" button, and get Page Cannot be Displayed, but get the page when I clikc the "BACK" button. (Firefox is not an option for me at work.) |
could you post the versions of IE that are responsible for this error as well as a list of add-in's and Modules, Thanks
|
Joshua,
I'll email the list to you (as screen-shots) as requested before. |
anyone else having similar issues?

I see the same thing.
first I tried without logging in with my login/password and it was fine. After I logged in, when I move the mouse over the bar (home forum etc.. ) I got the same error. It happens especially when the page is loading (or has not finished loading completely) Couple of times after the page was completely loaded, I didn't see this error. |

This happens regularly for me but it is my fault.
If the cursor is anywhere near the header it picks it up partially and has an this operational error. I now just move the cursor far away from the header and it solves the problem. |

I haven't experienced it (presumably due to FT premium) but I have had PMs from FTers describing the same thing.

SQ C Menu
I have the problem loading the SQ C Menu thread. I don't know why, but when I click, it will load, and it shows loading "tribal..." or loading "google-...". Then it would stayed that way. Thus can't post. Can't close the particular window. I am using Firefox on Mac laptop.
I only have this specific problem for this particular "SQ C Menu" thread. I can load any other threads on SQ forum. |
After researching the issue it looks like there is a bug in Internet expolorer that causes this, it is not fixed in ie7. Firefox and opera do not have the issue it can be avoided by keeping your mouse off of the menu wile pages are loading. We will keep you updated on the subject.
