Archived thread problems with displaying quotes leads to a bit of confusion.

I was looking at the following archived thread -- after finding it via Google -- and at first it seemed like there were words in my posts that were attributed to me but were clearly not mine. I quickly realized that they are definitely not my words but were words I had quoted from a previous post but which had the formatting stripped out. Here's the thread:

Is this a standard issue with the archived FT threads? Any resolution already in play or going forward?

Given my tendency to quote other posts, this led to some amusing "self-discovery" outcomes. (c.f., oliver2002's words appearing to be mine). :D [I was trying to find a post of mine to help supply someone with transit hotel information in DEL, but instead I realized something I should have realized earlier. :D ]

Mind if I use that excuse sometime in the future? ;)

The archive is more or less a minimalist version of FT and no vb tag parsing appear in it (quotes, bold, italics, links, smiles, etc). All posts that are in the archive have an equivalent page within the main forums that does show this coding. For example, related to your post:

Not at all. :)

Tim at Webflyer, thanks for the response, especially the part about the things that won't show up in archived threads.
