Trouble searching!?!?

Hello,

I am having a difficult time searching this forum. When I try to search, my browser locks up and then I get the "page cannot be displayed" message.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Before I post a question, I would rather search for my answer. Thanks again for any and all help.

The page I get looks like this:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
See if your Internet connection settings are being detected. You can set Microsoft Windows to examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings (if your network administrator has enabled this setting).
Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
On the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.
Select Automatically detect settings, and then click OK.
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

There's a Technical Support forum just for issues like these
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=386
I'm sure the mods will move it there so you don't have to cross-post.

We do have some search problems here right now and we are working on them. Here are some workarounds you can try in the meantime.

- Try to search with only one word, multi word searches often choke up the search.

- Select words that are not extremely common when searching. words such as 'bonus' or 'miles' are very common and will not return search results, but will result in timeouts of the search. (the blank screen)

- Another possible way to get around this problem is to use a FT specific Google search:

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience,

i'm seeing a problem with "New Posts"

instead of:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew
it redirects to:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/searc...earchid=104350

I'm having trouble searching too. Every time I to search, I get redirected to a page asking me log-in, even though I'm already logged in. Each time I log in again as requested, it just takes me right back to the log-in screen.
