If I click a topic under thread in a forum, I go to the first post and a fraction of a second later am taken to the last post on the page when reading a one page thread. Now if I wanted to start at the end, I'd have clicked on the last post symbol. How do you go to and stay with the first post? Am I missing a setting or does FT always take you to the last post on the first page. Sometimes, and I cannot figure out what I do that's different, I stay with the first post.

To go to the first post in a thread you just need to click on the title of the thread. This should not take you to the last thread of the page...

Agreed but it flashes the first message on screen and then takes me to last message in a fraction of a second. But that was on my home computer that often acts a bit odd. My office machine works as you said and as I know it should. Go figure.

BTW, the home machine had a disk crash so maybe it was having more issues than I knew.

Yes, that sounds like there may be an issue with your home computer. One thing I can think of off the top of my head is if you are using FireFox and have installed some plugins, you may try disabling some of them to see if that fixes the problem.
