Using "Search"

Whenever I try to use "Search" during the past 10 min., I get a page telling me to log in again! Is it me, or the system? Also, when I try "New Posts", I get the same thing!
Thanks!

Looks like the "search" feature is down. When I click on "New Posts," I get the message:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

Sweet Willie Apr 8, 2006 11:12 am

one more bump....

I really miss search when not available :(

The search function works for me, but searching for new posts does not, returning the error slippahs identifies above.

allset2travel Apr 8, 2006 7:48 pm

Is it just me?

No, you have company. It happens to me too! It asks me to log-on again. After I do that, a dialog box says I am already log-on! How stupid this whole thing is.

Search feature continues to redirect me to a login page even though I already have logged on.

It seems like this problem is becoming more widespread and/or is still happening.

Edit: It's affecting me too now. When I try to find a thread I posted earlier in the DL forum -- about phone wait times being lousy with DL in comparison to AA -- I discovered this too.

"New Posts" hasn't worked for me for several days, now.

Kiwi Flyer Apr 9, 2006 4:05 pm

Search is not working for me - it just logs me out. This on general search, search this forum, search this poster.

KyRoamer Apr 9, 2006 4:38 pm

New posts is still out. Sad. Hope someone will tell us what is happening.

Search function is not working for me. I am logged in but a specific 'Search' bounecs me back to the log in screen. :td:

spete100 Apr 10, 2006 1:58 am

Ditto

jabez Apr 10, 2006 4:58 am

Ditto for me as well.

Traveloguy Apr 10, 2006 6:23 am

I suspect it is an authentication rather than search issue as search is working fine.

Other people I know having problems just keep on getting forced to re-login again and search is one of those functions which requires authentication.

Hopefully someone will notice this thread and sort the problem out.

Fortunately I am not yet affected.

clubman Apr 10, 2006 6:27 am

Same here

Volvic Apr 10, 2006 8:50 am

:( I can post/reply but no search for me.... log on screen all the times.
Help please.

New Posts hasn't worked for me since Saturday. The feature to find more posts from a member has also not been working for me since then. Search, however, is OK for me.

Tim at WebFlyer Apr 10, 2006 9:12 am

Thanks for the heads up everyone. I'm looking into what may be the cause of this. Thanks,

KenF Apr 10, 2006 9:29 am

Glad someone is on the case!

Search and New Posts has put me back to the login page since Saturday.

Since I've managed to log in to send this, I'm guessing it isn't a simple authentication error....

Looking forward to being able to use Search again...

Ken.

Me too. I'm a firm believer of keeping discussions on the same topic within exisiting threads on a forum and when search function down it isn't possible to search for that previous thread so we get a gaggle of dupe threads. :(

This problem should now be cleared up. Let me know if you are still having problems, first thing to try if you are is to log out and then log back in. Thanks,

tom911 Apr 10, 2006 10:54 am

Working fine now. Thanks! ^

l etoile Apr 10, 2006 11:12 am

Thank you! All fixed.

broken

I'm experiencing the same bug.

I'm logged in, but I'm still prompted to login when I attempt to search.

tinkybelle Apr 10, 2006 10:04 pm

search is finally working here

You should not be experiencing this anymore. Have you tried logging out then logging back in? If not, click on the logout link in the upper right, two links to the right of search. Then use the login box above it to login and try to do a search then. You may then also want to clear your browsers cache for good measure. Let us know if this doesn't work for you. Thanks,
