is Search broken?
 

I'm trying to use the standard and thread searches. Any search is either timing out completely (using IE) or offering to open/save search.php in Firefox.

Just did a search and didn't have any problems. The search may have been under a heavy load at the time. Give it a try now and see if it works for you. Also if you continue to have problems try using more constrained search conditions. Let us know how it works for you,
