How to find your posts in a thread?

Aside from viewing all your posts from the profile, is there a way to find your own post within a particular thread?

Wow... this is proving to be harder than I thought it would be...

First, I don't really know what you mean by "viewing all your posts from the profile"?

I'm trying to see the 3 posts that I made in the "Who Will Be The Next FlyerTalk Member To Post? An OMNI Game" Thread. And it's only showing one.

On the Advanced Search page I keep tinkering w/ the Key Word Search and the Username search, as well as the "Show Results as Posts" option, but to no avail... yet...

I don't know if it's possible OR if there's a workaround... :(

Can you use "find" on your browser and put in your own handle?

Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

Well, that could work. But what if you were jfe or KiwiFlyer and wanted to look at all of your posts in the "Who Will Be The Next FlyerTalk Member To Post? An OMNI Game" thread? :D

Also, finding through the browser would also bring you to posts where you are being quoted.

Fortunately I've never wanted to look at all my posts in that thread :D

I was going to suggest the "Search This Thread" link and then the "Advanced Search" button off of that. But that just defaults to searching all of FlyerTalk rather than the one thread like you would think it would do. :(

To be more specific. Suppose there's a five year old thread called "Number of times you pick your nose in a day" with 1,000 posts. I know that I posted with something rather witty, and want to marvel at my words again. Can I find just my posts(s) in that thread?

Do you have any idea what you said???

chexfan Example- What if I want to find the thread where I started the Chopped Liver comment?

Advanced Search >
Search by key word: "chopped liver"
Search Entire Posts

Username: chexfan
Find Posts by User

Show Results as Posts
**Search Now**

IT RETURNS...
:-: :-: I think the key is to select the Posts radial in Show Results as: :-: :-:

maybe that helps?
