Back button not working properly now?? IE
Just back for a quick surf at lunch and notice that now, FT seems to be loading pages twice, thus losing the ability to move backwards and forwards between page visits in historical order. This was not the case a few hours ago during my "morning surf". What gives? Is this somehow related to the knucklehead posting in Mileage Run? Are you guys getting attacked somehow? Or is this something in my browser?
Note: I moved over to Opera browser to see if this is an issue, but the pages seem to be loading properly there. |

i seem to be having the same problem with the back button within the last hour...it takes 2 or 3 clicks to go back
glad to know its not just me |
Experiencing the same problems and refresh sometimes helped. At least where not alone.
|
There's no reason for this to be happening based on anything that has happened at our end.
You'll need to investigate what is happening on your machine. A virus/spyware scan is probably a good first step. |
Mine works fine.....then again I'm in CANADA :D
|
i just tried it on another machine thru a diffeent isp and am haveing the same problem..
i have to hit back 3 times |
I'm having the same problem and, no, I did not click on the weirdo in mileage run. Any ideas?
|
No ideas here. Mine was doing the same thin a couple of hours ago, then everything worked properly, and now it's back to having to click the back button three times to go back to the previous page.
I will investigate my firewall log, but I don't think that's it. When I leave my cursor on the back button it gives me a very weird Back To: address. Then, when I put it over the forward button, I get a Back To: "HTTP 404 Not Found" address. Also, when I navigate to other sites, like NWA.com, or MSN.com, I can go back and forward with no problems using these buttons. This leads me to suspect that something ain't right at FT--not that I'm complaining. Very strange. Hope this helps. |
Huh---nothing in the log, and furthermore, not two minutes or so since my last post, and now things are once again back to normal.
Weird stuff in cyberland tonight. |
i am still haveing the same problem...
it takes 3 backs clicks to return.. and I didn;t clock anything wierd |
Yes Sue,
It's back again here again today. Not sure what's going on. Now it's three clicks to get back. Yesterday it was two. Funny stuff. I was on last night with no problems whatsoever. |
For much of yesterday I had to click the BACK button three times. Then, late in the day (evening) it cleared up. Now, this morning, it is back again. I have to click the back button three times to get it to move. I checked numerous other sites, and this glitch is only occuring on Flyertalk.
I'm using IE with WindowsXP. |
I'm also having this problem today; I did not have it yesterday. I run IE/XP. Spyware cleaned and Norton virus check ok. It only happens on FT -- all other sites work as normal.

Edited to add: I've since tried clicking back three times and that works. |
