Notice to Subscribed Threads Not Working
 
Since late yesterday I have noticed that I am not being advised that threads to which I have subscribed have additional posts. It seems to be occuring to other Flyertalkers, as well.

I am receiving notifications for about 1 out of 4 subscribed threads. When I go to FlyerTalk, I see many responses to threads on which I have posted, but have not received email for.

Been occurring with me for several months. :confused:

No pattern to it.

If a thread has 6 new posts when I look, I'll have got maybe 1 mail for them. Some none at all, and some 100% fine.

What you describe is almost the way I thought it is supposed to work. Only one email for all posts on one topic until actually logging on to FT again. Last week I was getting almost no notifications at all. It seems to have drastically improved.

i think the problem might be related to the way we currently have the two Web servers operating on FT. That being some of the threads being flagged while you are on one server and then others while you might be flagged to the other server. We are in the process of changing our load balanced and think this will improve these things as well as overall board performance. if you'll allow us a few weeks to complete several new modifications including the search functions, it will help us.

I have waited 3 or 4 weeks just in case this was the issue. It does seem to be synonymous of something like that. Very erratic (for me) and my computer is logged on 24/7 so it has nothing to do with being logged on.

I'd figger I now see about HALF the reply responses that are made on threads I subscribe to. Which are not too many, as I visit several boards often, but some less visited boards this feature is handy for.

FWIW if it assists techies, I am still getting only about 50% of emails.
