Can't post a reply in a thread I started
 
When I try to post a reply in this thread:

I am denied permission:
nerd, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. This forum may require additional account pre-requisites that you don't current have. Check the Announcements for this forum to see if you're required to have a minimum number of posts already, etc.
3. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Any reason for this - I can't reply to a thread that I started, which makes no sense to me...

nerd...I just replied to your linked thread to test it. I had no problem. Perhaps you have a “cookie” issue here.
The Tech Guru’s on FT will be back on duty tomorrow and I’m sure will be able to walk you through this.

Bump.

Can anyone look into this? I started a thread (referenced above) and can't post a reply to it -- something about permissions (also posted above).

It isn't a cookie issue as this happens on machines I've never used before.

When you're in that thread, bottom left of the page is Posting Rules. What does it say?

Posting Rules
You may post new threads
You may post replies
You may not post attachments
You may edit your posts

Looks like it says:

But I still am unable to post a reply to the thread. Same error message as in my OP.

Are you able to reply to any other threads without a problem?
Also, have you ever had a problem replying to threads you created in the past?
Not sure what’s happening here as I’ve never encountered a similar issue.

No problems. Ten replies today to other people's threads, no problems. Never any problems in the 2,000+ posts (most of them replies) I've had on this BB.

Just pulled up the threads I've created. No problems trying to reply to any of them (I tried the first 8 that came up in the search results).
