They are part of the FT search system, and have been turned off for performance testing, as was announced in the top of every forum:

The search can easily be replaced by Google and narrowing results to Flyertalk.com and eventually the forums one is aiming.
I understand that many people don't know these features are available at Google - shouldn't FT make them known, at least until the Search feature is available again ?
