Could a moderator have deleted it? What forum did you post it in?

Did you happen to forget to hit the "Submit" button after typing your message... I hate to say it, but I have done that before...

Otherwise, that is strange. You may want to ask the moderator(s) in the forum you posted the message in to see if they did anything.

Was the private message from the moderator?

It looks like your thread was deleted with this message:

Reason: Request for Price Assistance - Read Announcements at top of forum

The announcement in question is here:

I can address this, as I'm the one who caused it to no longer be seen.

The Mileage Run forum has, for some time, had a number of issues with people just looking for help getting a cheaper ticket for their travels. Several months ago, I posted an announcement, which still shows at the top of the forum, explaining that such messages are not appropriate for the forum. Because of the volume of these messages, as well as a couple other specific types of off-topic posts, I explained that such messages would be subject to deletion.

Before anyone complains about me not taking the time to send a PM explaining it, I would ask the question... why do members not take the time to read the announcements at the top of the forum?

For details, you can read the announcement here:

Well said and a fair request! ^

The expectations on the volunteer moderators at FT seems to be on the rise (PM this, post that, step carefully here, etc) but there doesn't seem to be a corresponding effort on the part of the participants in managing content or their posts (placing it in the right forum, doing their own searches, using the bad post button, posting and reposting the same stuff all over, etc). Participants need to also do their part when contributing to FT and not expect the moderators to pick up all the slack. This is a community not a school room. (NOTE: this is not directed at any individual(s) its a general opinion on what's been happening at FT)

I appreciate the time you and your fellow moderators donate to FT!
