ING Barings ad
Every time the ING Barings ad appears (in the top banner ad space), the rest of page doesn't load/display correctly. I am experiencing this on both my home Mac running Safari and my office PC with Internet Explorer.
I suppose something is corrupted with that ad. It's very annoying. |

NickW I feel your pain.
I have similar problem with the True ads which seem to not affect others  Has been happening intermittently for quite a while now :( I find the only way to get around it is open another session and try again - sometimes this works and sometimes it doesnt. Very frustrating. Incidentally it seems we dont get the same ads at the same time (ie I can be cussing the True ads and others tell me they see some other ad) - any reason why? |

Thanks. So maybe I just need for someone else to get all the True ads and I'll be right :)
Kinda explains why it is intermittent too. |
... dupe ...

No, I'm not imagining it. Literally every time the ING ad loads in the top ad box, the rest of the page doesn't display. When it (or rather the vertically formatted version) loads in the right-hand ad box there is no problem.
Huh, actually not literally, because no just while I was composing this post, it worked fine in another window. Argh. But the only times I get a non-rendered page, the ING ad is the only thing showing, other than the top-left FT logo. |
not true to me

Kinda explains why it is intermittent too. If I miss a true ad coming in it is just like you - start a new session. ING ads cause me no problems though  |
ah so its not just me!
Havent seen any True ads recently so going fine for me. :) |
Dan,
I am curious, why are you guys not running G's AdSense or similar types of ads? On our sites, we saw a revenue increase when replacing image ads with AdSense and the AdSense ads are much, much, much less annoying then the ING and True stuff. |

I think, though, that we have had Google's ads running through our parent ad company before; it just depends on our inventory. Also, aren't the AdSense ads CPC, meaning you have to click on them for revenue? Our banner ads are CPM... no click necessary for revenue. Just the impressions. |
Yep, AdSense is CPC, but the targetting is so good that people actually click! Anyway, I just noticed that Gleff's blog on WebFlyer is running AdSense, so clearly the advertising department is aware of them and the image CPMs are probably doing better on FT.
