Try limiting your search criteria (keywords, forums searched, date range, etc). The error stems from a search result set that's too large to process.

I didn't use Advanced Search. I just opened the Forum (Starwood), clicked on Search This Forum, typed two key words in the window that dropped down, and hit Enter.

Something is wrong.

We know something is wrong... the search system. That's why I gave you some tips on trying to constrain your search.

What were the terms you were searching for?

I appreciate the tips, but they were not relevant to my particular case, as I was not searching multiple forums or specifying a date range (BTW, I had no problem whatsoever searching multiple forums, within particular date ranges, etc., as recently as yesterday).

I just PM'ed you exact details of the search that gave me that error message.

I tried your terms "miles eligible" in the Starwood forum, and limited the date range to three months and still got the error. I've got a tech request in with the vB folks to see if they can be of any help.

That error is one that we, and other vB owners, have had since day one. Although vB has given suggestions on how to alleviate it, it doesn't seem to solve the problems fully for everyone.
