There is an easy solution to this....
Give the moderators a second id that is very close to their personal id. For example, ScottC could become mScottC; Slippahs becomes mSlippahs, or something similar. Since the mods are members first, they should use their original id for non-moderator duties and put them in the security user group with the rest of us mere mortals ;). |

I never heard of this (since the change to the "new and improved FT"):"I believe that designating us as moderators is what gives us access to the Moderator forum ". What Moderator Forum?? And finally,I can't open the link to see if I'm on the list of moderators. Maybe that's how we can find out if we've been "let go" as a moderator. Log in one day and see your title gone. :D |

But I do not see why we should make it more difficult for people who have stepped forward to give their time to moderate. I would rather spend my time moderate than worrying about logging in and making sure I do not accidently make a post under the wrong ID. If people have issues with a moderator, take it up with that person or with Randy. William |

Yikes.... I only thought of it as a solution. Quite frankly, I don't care if you have a moderator label or not. People were suggesting altering the security groups, etc. which takes a lot of IT time. This could be a possible solution, in my eye, on the surface. It was just a thought, since I've been knee deep in security groups these past few days ;).
