various error messages
I seem to get Vbulletin error messages all the time. Some examples are:
1) giving out reputation. Even if I give rep to someone just once, someone Ive never rep'd before the system will tell me that I cant give reputation twice 2) flood control seems to pop up always... but, despite the error message my post gets posted anyway... 3) after I reply (using forward or quote function) to private messages, I also get flood control... Ive tried flushing my IE and FT cookies.... but this is still going on. I am now using a rather slow dial-up connection to the internet from Jakarta, is this perhaps the culprit? Many thanks... ^ |
BTW, I also get these weird messages when I start a new thread....

How about "invalid thread specified. if you think there's an issue contact the webmaster" error message? has happened to me everytime i make a post in a thread (not when creating a new thread).
Okay it happened when i posted the first time. the message actually reads... Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster any ideas? |

If those errors happen repeatedly, try clearing out your cache and cookies and restarting the browser. If it still errors as much, try a different browser and if possible, a different connection (from work, home, etc).
Although we have heard about these errors popping up occasionally, and haven't found a definitive cause yet on the vBB boards, if it's happening all the time to you, it could be your connection. |
