Search limits to words w/greater than 3 chars
I'm not sure if this is configurable on your new software, but it would be extremely helpful if you could lower the number of characters needed for a search term to be included so that words with 3 chars could be searched on.
I know that this is the norm for most boards, however given that this is a travel-based board being able to search by airport code makes searching much more useful. As an example, I was trying to find posts about the starwood hotels near SFO. Doing a search on SFO in the starwood forum should give me great results, but instead I have to search on "Francisco Airport". Thanks, The BigO |
I would have to agree
Just as bad, it's impossible to search on two-letter airline codes. Most posters refer to airlines by their codes rather than by their actaul names.

In addition to airport codes, this limitation also takes out the ability to search by aircraft type (at least Boeing aircraft: 747, 777, etc.), which is certainly frequently discussed on the airline boards.
