HK not getting thru even after clicking check box - wifi or mobile.
|
I am getting through from HK today.
But since the change some countries cannot see images attached to a post, while a few others do. |

Same here, I should just use a VPN. It has become very frustrating.

Made a long post today - when I clicked on "Post Reply" I was redirected back to the cloudflare page. after that my post was gone. I could not retreive it with browser-back. That's really .......
I can understand that the page must be protected against bot attacks - BUT other pages do it much better - AND when I am logged in as long standing member with almost 6000 posts I should not bee required to proove every 10 minutes that I am a human with content going to the trash when posting.

It's been so aggressive the cloudflare requests to confirm not a bot. Mobile or laptop both on fixed internet or mobile it's becoming a joke.

Your membership here has no bearing on Cloudflare. It's a traffic protection service.

I do believe however that Cloudflare has a way to relax the level of security checks etc. based on whether a user is logged in or not, perhaps a question for tech to look into?

Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands are part of the U.S.

They can be relaxed via managed challenges or even set by specific countries or regions.

Got stuck in a cloudflare loop this morning. Just continually kept getting the checking if you are a bot message. Very frustrating.

Even if it could tell whether a user were logged in, recall that logged-in users used to regularly go on posting sprees. Being logged in is no guarantee of pr:oper behaviour or that the user is not a bot of some kind.

It's interesting because I tried the VPN from my anti-virus programme and Cloudflare says the IP is blocked. So that route won't work, at least not with the free one I have.

I mostly read FT by clicking on a link in an email notification. If it's been a day since my last visit, Cloudflare recently will always do a check. Sometimes it'll just go through after wasting some time. Sometimes it'll demand I click a check box. It's so silly and random. (I'm logged in and on a static IP.)
|
The fact that the Cloudflare challenge is random is exactly what can help defend the platform against bots and other automated attacks, as they struggle to bypass the differing and random nature.
