Links in my posts not showing?
 

I have included some links in my posts, but after I submit the posts, the links have vanished.

If someone replies to my post and includes the quoted post, the links do show.

I can see no thread discussing this so I assume it's only affecting me. Anyone have ideas?

I can find no reference on the forum to Twitter links being disabled though?

Twitter posts show in the post to others but initially not to the original poster him/herself for some reason. It has to do with how the embedding works.

That's a shame - previously the Twitter links would actually show as a tweet within the Flyertalk post. Thank you.

If you just refresh the page, it should appear for you

OK, so the issue is that tweets set to "private" do not appear as embeds. I'm seeing is we can make them display as links. But I also don't want ALL twitter URLs to show as just links

OK! But the tweets I have included are from accounts that aren't set to private. For example here's a tweet from Michael Caine's account:

Let me try Barrowman again, who definitely isn't private.

Hidden link appears when quoted.
