search by user and keywords together is broken
From the advanced search page: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/search.php
If I do a keyword search for "skypesos" it works If I do a username search for "zorak" it works If I try to keyword search "skypesos" and username "zorak" at the same time I get the database error page Just an example; the problem does not seem tied to either that specific term or my username. The issue also occurs whether you are doing a site-wide search, forum-specific search, or even thread search e.g. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/sear...readid=2056973 Guessing that whatever code takes the form inputs and composes the underlying database query is generating syntactically-invalid SQL or something when multiple terms are involved. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...96746ae8a6.jpg |
did you try it with a date constraint? I had similar result last week, edited my original long search phrase to two?three? keywords, but got several accurate responses when I also included “a year ago and earlier”

May have been reported as an issue on other sites by IBKatherine. I'll round up with her and tech
