Moderated post?

I posted this thread yesterday. Today once re-reading it after morning coffee, I found like a dozen typos or other stupid mistakes. I'd like to edit the post, but apparently, I cannot.

The icon says "moderated post." I appreciate the special treatment :) But what does it mean, and how do I get to edit my own post, at least temporarily?

---

Update. Apparently, the forum does not work with relative links. And I cannot yet post fully qualified links because I don't have five posts.

Anyway, here's the post in question: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small...l#post34906301

Users typically have a small edit window, but once that is closed, you are no longer able to edit your posts

well, that's unfortunate. And the lack of any indication is confusing.

wait, is it just me, but my original post in this thread... disappeared?

Some odd quirk, but I fixed it now

It's very weird what happens to posts by new members. You wrote an incredible post, very informative, very helpful And yet when you edited it, it kicked it into the moderation queue. Why? honestly, I've no idea. It shouldn't happen once you have a few more posts - but no promises. Our software has been especially wonky recently. Anyway, I approved the post once I saw it in the mod queue. You and everyone else should be able to read it now.

Is that true? How small is the window? I've occasionally edited posts made months ago to correct spelling and grammatical errors.
