Blank thread pages - caused by ad-blocker?

Recently I cannot see the contents of any threads. I just get a black page when I do into a thread. I suspect this is down to using ad-blocking software. I use WIPR (a paid-for ad-blocker) and I cannot whitelist a site in it. I have to disable every single protective measure.

Is there another option? For example, is it possible to buy an annual subscription to FT? I really don't want to disable everything as that leave my computer quite vulnerable.

Try and see if that works. We do not offer paid subscriptions and we make all revenue from advertising, so we do not cater to workarounds for blocking software.

Okay, I've managed to disable my content blocker just for FT and things are working fine.

For anyone else using the WIPR ad-blocker, here's how to disable it just for FT if you're using macOS and the Safari browser.

1. Select Safari --> Settings for this website

2. Uncheck the 'Enable content blockers' checkbox

The site will reload with adverts and you will be able to see the posts within threads. WIPR will continue to function on other websites. If you have any other content blockers (via plug-ins or Safari configuration) then those will also be disabled for this site.
