undefined image and warnings that changes will be discarded

It seems that, as of this afternoon, new replies have links to flyertalk.com/forum/undefined magically inserted into them (as an image). Attempting to edit the post and delete them just seems to insert even more.

Also, every time I view a thread (without typing anything in the quick reply) it warns me when I try to navigate away from that thread that my changes will be discarded.

These seem to be new issues (within the last couple of hours)

I am also getting the issue when looking at a post that if I try to navigate away , I am getting message

Are you sure you want to leave this page?

Message from webpage

You have unsubmitted text. If you leave before submitting, your changes will be lost.

Even clicking reply to this thread in order to post this, I had this annoying warning come up and have to click on "Leave this page" to get into reply. Using IE11

Same here. Quote a post with hyperlinks, images, etc, and each line of the quoted post has an empty image box inserted after it.

Go back and delete the image boxes and it just adds more random hyperlinks and completely messes up all formatting.

I also get the "do you want to leave this page" and "unsaved changes" warnings.

Same issues ...

I have taken to copying the page content to a scratchpad before proceeding ...

... easier to past back over the additional garbage that appears.

The links issue should be resolved. Working on the "leave page" issue in another thread.

Could you let me know which thread?

Same issue with the "leave page" error.

To fix the "leave page" issue:
.
  • MyFlyerTalk
  • Edit Options
  • Miscellaneous Options
  • Message Editor Interface
  • Select Enhanced CKEditor (not basic editor, which is unsupported and will be removed)
  • Save changes

I can confirm that this works.

I was already getting this editor on mobile, but not on desktop. I wanted to switch to it, so this solves 2 problems at once.

That isn't fixing the issue - that is just indicating a refusal to fix the issue

The enhanced CKEditor has been the only supported editor on FT for at least 18 months. I expect they will simply remove the other one in a future update.
