Blue border on Android sporadically?
 

Every once in a while, I get a blue border (gradient) around FT on Chrome on an Android phone. Is this some sort of holiday theme?

It just happened to me. Second time. Randomly in the last 2 days. When I refresh the screen, it's gone.
Any ideas?

Very odd. I haven't seen anything on my own device. Could some please post a screenshot?

I'll try next time it happens. But it could be a while since it's so random and sporadic.
Thinking about it, both times it happened was upon opening a thread initially, and as I said it's gone when I refreshed the page.

It's only a curiosity, since I can refresh it away. Actually looks kind of cool, tbh.

One more data point. I got the border again on the same page and before refreshing, I tried to access the drop down menu. No go. The icon was inert. Worked fine after I refreshed the page.
Edit - happened again, different page. The border locks the entire FT page. Nothing functions until the page is refreshed.

Thank you. I have tech on this, but it sounds like this may be a secret ad.

I also see that gradient flash sometimes, exclusively when I am playing a full screen game.
