NOTE: Please see the 2019 Mobile Devices BUG REPORTS thread here.
PLEASE POST SCREENSHOTS of the FULL SCREEN and report your DEVICE TYPE, OPERATING SYSTEM, BROWSER TYPE AND VERSIONS you are using in your post. This thread is strictly for the reporting bugs related to the 15 November 2017 upgrade of FlyerTalk Mobile on your MOBILE device. (Please refrain from discussion or speculation about issues if they are not reports as specified here.)

Your full report (see above) will assist Internet Brands / FlyerTalk in handling these expeditiously. Admin / Tech attempts to respond to all reports speedily, but eliminating problems / bugs may require devising technical solutions that may require time. (Internet Brands operates during usual work hours on the U. S. West Coast; customary holidays, weekends, etc. are observed.)

To see how to include a screen shot in your post, once you have taken the screen shot follow the instructions "Inserting a photo or image from your device into a post:" in the first post in the thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...mage-post.html

NOTE: Internet Brands and FlyerTalk discourage the use of software that modifies your FlyerTalk browsing experience (e.g. ad blocking software). IB / FT declines all responsibility for the use of such software and can not provide support or assistance if such software is used. As well, we remind you IB / FT can only provide FlyerTalk free to members because of the financial support of advertisers; using ad blockers denies IB / FT income that would normally pay for your free community membership and browsing experience..

Posts advocating, suggesting, or recommending use of ad blocking etc. software will be summarily deleted.

I’ll check the next time I’m on my iPad. I thought I looked all over and couldn’t find the mobile site link on the page.

I haven’t even visited my preferences page in many months (years?) so I think that’s unlikely.

1.
1. As I type this I can’t see it. Still not fixed.

2. The jumping screen problem is still not fixed.

3. Look at this: less than 50% of the screen contains useful content.

FT is not optimized for viewing the full desktop site on a mobile device. Please use the mobile skin.

It used to work just fine on an iPad, now a full third of the screen is eaten by right column ads and many dialogs are mis-sized or truncate text. Please fix this.

They are wrking on several issues, but if you'd like to post a screen shot to describe what you're seeing it might help.

I doubt the right ad column is going away though.

Example, ads overlaid on top of navigation.

Seriously, this is now a bad experience on the iPad. Is it possible to revert to the old UI?

That's not going to change; the right-hand ads are sometimes twice as wide as this and the space is required.

That's a bug! I will report this.

Again, not going to change.

No. This is the new format and there are no other skin options.
But I will get that overlap bug fixed!

On the topics list page, the actual interesting content takes up less than 25% of the screen in post 87.

How can this be considered acceptable? Do you care about the users one bit?

I get that FT is an Ad supported site, but this is not good implementation and a swathe of blank space is not going to help drive site views.

We highly recommend using the mobile skin on mobile devices.
