Some ways to reverse new features

1) Disabling infinite scroll:
  • Go to My FlyerTalk Control Panel
    • Edit options
      • Disable Infinite Scroll

2) Restore previous post editing options:
  • Go to My FlyerTalk Control Panel
    • Settings and Options
      • Miscellaneous Options
        • Message Editor Interface and select “Standard Editor -- extra formatting controls” (you may see odd behavior in this unsupported editor)

NOTE: For ease of both members posting and Technical Support, this thread has been split into two threads for 2018; one exclusively for MOBILE devices, the other for DESKTOP devices. You can find them here:

This new arrangement — without an option to revert back — is pretty bad for me.

After conferring with the Community Director, we will move this thread to the Technical Support forum and let it co-exist with the existing thread until IBJoel can catch up withboth threads and it seems appropriate todo so.

Also, why has "Original Poster" changed to "Thread Starter"?

OP is standard across the internet and I can see no reason at all to change it. Are we going to be using TS now instead?

I have "Never go to Mobile Skin" set. Every window of FT I just opened came up in "Mobile One" format.

(Firefix 52.1.1 ESR.)

That was one of my first thoughts too. There's so much dead/wasted white space in this iteration too, and infinite scroll (one of the banes of my internet user existence) is back automatically. Off to go undo it.

Please hit the undo button on this "upgrade" IB. It's like when my IT guy at work "upgraded" me to Windows 10 from 7.

So the correct name for that button should be "Recent thread that I have at least 1 post in it"

In order to really see "YOUR recent thread", it needs to resort that list by the date of your last post in those threads.
To be clear, I have over 30K posts. My Recent Posts shows less than 50 posts.

That "Thread Starter" thing has got to go. It'll cause confusion for years if it's allowed to continue, as everyone here uses "OP" all the time.

What is the point of having selectable skins and then forcing a new one on us unasked? That's the kind of user-hostile BS that you get from Facebook. Disgraceful that FT is moving that way.

Can we please have an option to revert back to the classic style. Let users choose what they want and which decade they want to pretend to be living in.

That's been around for a while. It was blue before.

The quick reply box is WAY to big; and I can't shrink it enough to a more reasonable size.

It said "Original Poster" not "Thread Starter".

I have asked if "My Threads", including threads you are not subscribed to, can be reinstated.

Why can't there be a full reversion?

The feedback here is overwhelming and nearly unanimous.

Who benefits from the new theme when all your users clearly hate it?
