Some ways to reverse new features

1) Disabling infinite scroll:
  • Go to My FlyerTalk Control Panel
    • Edit options
      • Disable Infinite Scroll

2) Restore previous post editing options:
  • Go to My FlyerTalk Control Panel
    • Settings and Options
      • Miscellaneous Options
        • Message Editor Interface and select “Standard Editor -- extra formatting controls” (you may see odd behavior in this unsupported editor)

NOTE: For ease of both members posting and Technical Support, this thread has been split into two threads for 2018; one exclusively for MOBILE devices, the other for DESKTOP devices. You can find them here:

You can disable it: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/prof...do=editoptions
About 2/3 way down.

They're definitely still working on things.. Infinite scroll had 2 toggles before and that's been "fixed" - except the new one is defaulted to on....

How do I change the date & time options back?
I want the absolute date & time to display, not "21 hours ago".
It seems gone and back to absolute date and time.

Ok, underlining seems gone too.

They have added a second setting and have set it to "on" by default.
Go to edit options, and make sure infinite scroll is disabled in both settings.

Just my 2 cents... In the future maybe some open beta testing for changes this big (unless I missed if that happened) before going live.

Can you post a screenshot? I think that might be a bug.

Underlining is gone now all of a sudden.

If you disable Infinite Scroll in MyFlyerTalk, you will no longer have the sticky bars.

This is correct. You should also disable the sticky bars, this way.

I've searched all over, and I already had infinite scroll turned off.
Go to your profile, "edit options" on the left, then tick:
Never go to Mobile Skin
Forum Skin : FtDesktopNG
Thread display options - disable infinite scroll

Remember to click save at the bottom of the page

This has made the new display much more usable for me: my screen real estate (on an ultraportable laptop with a smaller screen) is not being taken up by the turquoise navigation bar at the top, or the thread navigation bar at the bottom, fixed in view all the time.

Having found that, I think the new display isn't too bad so far.
Yahillwe and sdsearch like this.

I'm only seeing one infinite scroll selection under Edit Options. I'm sure it's right in front of my nose. Are both instances under the same Edit Options link?

It's not even that bad. You should've seen MyFico a month ago. This is like a vacation compared to the eye bleeding layout they rolled out.

I don't like it. I can't find the icons I am used to using. It is hard on the eyes. Big question--why? Why mess with a good thing? The other was working.

We just removed "underlining", but due to various caching - it will/may take a while to update on your browser(s).

Ctrl-F5 will force a full refresh (in Chrome/FF at least)
