Good evening!
I'll move this to the Technical Issues forum and let it standalone for a time before merging it into the master thread on the site's upgrade and bug reports. cblaisd Co-Moderator, Technical Support & Suggestion Box forums. |

If we are going to be stuck with this flaming pile of garbage, at least change the button coloring. I'm actually surprised you even were allowed to roll them out since the hideous green background with the white lettering appear to violate commonly accepted visual accessibility standards due to the poor contrast (I can barely read them and I have perfect vision and am using a Macbook Pro with Retina Display).
Also whenever I post a message it annoyingly changes fonts 3 times (the font it shows when typing, the font it shows when saving, and then the final font that is posted) and that doesn't count the fact that there appear to be about 4 different fonts being used on different parts of the page. I'm not sure this re-design could look more amateurish and designed without any thought or overarching strategy. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...34257d5c5f.jpg |

By the way, this thread doesn't show up in the Trending Forum Threads list despite being what appears to be the most trafficked thread on the forum in the last two days. Huh. How about that.

Hi there. If you could be a little more specific, it might help. I don't see any green on any page at all, for instance. This is what is looks like for me -- does it look different for you? Perhaps use our new Photo Uploader to post a screen shot :)
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...34257d5c5f.jpg I say the following as a marketer who has been involved in and owned the product design and logo design for products at a Fortune 500 company. At my company those colors would violate the standard visual accessibility test that we reference and would be killed by our design team who validates any product design and logo designs before they go out the door. The green is not dark enough relative to the white text which makes the white text difficult to read if you don't have an HD / high-res screen, are zoomed out, or have poor vision (and vice versa with the green text on the white background, it's not a dark enough green to easily read against the white background). It needs to either be a darker green or a different color all together (like the royal blue that you use in the other bars on the page). |

Ummm the almost seafoam green bar across the top, the "View First Unread", the green outline for "Quick Reply" and "Reply" and "First" and "Prev" and "13/13" all in your picture above...

On my MBP Retina they look more green than they do blue. |

MBP Retina 2015 PowerPoint on my MacBook is calling it: HEX# 65ADCC and to me that is definitely green. RGB: 101/173/204. The confusion is my case in point on accessibility - there shouldn't be variation between browsers and laptops and shouldn't be confusion about color plus the inability to read the text. They should all be royal blue and white. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...dc13e37520.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...19b196f0d0.png EDIT TO ADD: When I map the HEX and RGB it maps to your baby blue (http://rgb.to/101,173,204) but again it doesn't display that way on my MBP Retina and it looks like OttawaMark is seeing similar on his MBP Retina. I definitely know it's not my MBP either - have been running roadshow events off my laptop on all sorts of AV and what not recently so I know the settings on the MBP are optimized and color balanced correctly. #s3gt_translate_tooltip_mini { display: none !important; } |

Baby blue to me and to our developers. I'm viewing on 2 different monitors right now -- both baby blue.

Well I definitely don't have much good say about this update, but yeah there is definitely no green anywhere on this page. I disabled the quick reply/reply/post tools bar but assuming it is the same color as the top, it is certainly blue. It appears it is somewhere around R 104 G 173 B 202 (#68ADCA). That color is the least jarring aspect about the new visual changes.
Though related to that, the number of graphical non-transparent background issues is just fascinating. How was none of this tested first? Generally speaking if you're going to make a drastic change in colors, you should either use transparent button images or change the image backgrounds first. |

you can fix this issue to your preferred view. Go to the My FlyerTalk menu near the top of each page -> In Box-> Edit Options, and choose to disable Infinite scroll. While in this area of user option choices, you may also choose to set the maximum number of posts you'd like to see on each page. Remember to scroll down to the bottom of the Options section and choose "Save" so that whatever changes you make actually "take".

One additional, somewhat related question:
To the right of the listed forums there are now columns (Last Post; Threads; Posts) which were not there in the former FT layout. Is there any way to hide these columns? thank you |
