Is there a reason the views, replies, & last post columns (once you're within a forum) are so wide? Really not necessary/is also annoying.

Is there a way to go back to the format prior to the new upgrade - is that default style or something else? Or is this like other things where we're stuck w/ it because IB wants FT to be like some other BB or social media platform?

Cheers.

I would love a way to get the old skin back.

Ugh. New format is well, just ugh. Having everything underlined, etc. Blech. Using Chrome.

OMG--this!
It is awful.

Major issue with the top sticky bar. If you hit "view first unread" the top bar blocks the post that you're linked to!

Agreed. And how do your turn off that damn sticky that scrolls?
Never mind. Figured it out. Ugh, much prefer the old style. I hate that thread tools bar at the top.

:td: This reminds me of when Airliners.net decided to reskin. Provided all the tinkering is done, this new site is much less aesthetically pleasing; what's with the underlined links? I feel like I'm stuck in 1999...

How do I turn off the sticky bars that now appear at top and bottom of every thread? They are ugly and use precious vertical space. I have tried all available themes but all see to suffer from this.

Non of the first post images are showing.

Oh dear. Not sure I can live with this new format.

Is there any way individual users can select the previous version (which, to me, was much more user-friendly) ...??

Am not realistically expecting the site to be tailored to my personal taste ; but I don't see myself continuing as a regular viewer/contributor with this layout.

I get two sets of ads at the top now. Well and as I post this the photos are HUGE!

A super-annoying waste of screen real-estate. Both bars are utterly useless.

Perhaps there will be a way to customize the appearance in the future — including an option to revert back to the classic look for those FlyerTalk members who want that?

Going to take some time to get used to the new skin, but I'm sure that will pass with time. But, the site is incredibly slow now. And, I cannot get any of the drop down functionality to work for Forum Tools and Search This Forum, etc.

"Never use mobile" broken by upgrade?

The option still shows in settings, and I've tried unset / save / set / save, but still not being honoured :(.

deeruck Nov 15, 2017 10:32 am

Oh my...all the grey and underlining everywhere... This is not easy on the eyes.

jaysona Nov 15, 2017 10:33 am

Oh gawd!!!

Clearly some people are not at all familiar with the adage: if it aint broke - don't fix it.

However I guess that now that is has been broken - maybe they'll fix it by reverting back? :p

This new format renders horrendously on tablets, the old theme was just fine. ^

If FT was looking for ways to reduce site activity - they found it! I had curtailed my activity as of late, and this is an even bigger push to move away from FT and spend more time on inside flyer! Way to go FT!
