Mostly, the issue as reflected in a number of Wikiposts, because the information written and appearing as (simulation, nothing actually from AA forum wikipost):

In fairness to IB I've never done quotes on wikiposts, so that might be unique to JDiver. Love Jose, but I'd rather it works for everyone than perhaps a one-off type app. However, if IB can solve both, yeah!

Works the same in Wikiposts as in post quotes. The truncating of quotes, reducing the right margin, is common to all post quotes. The effects in Wikiposts and normal post quotes are the same. Nothing unique here. ;)

The easiest way to see this is in a wikipost I've not edited to eliminate quite boxes: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...er-thread.html.

It uses double quote boxes and has double margin shrinkage.

Answer from tech is that the quotes work better on mobile when they are narrower than they used to be. They're set to the max width they can be set to right now without creating formatting havok across the page.

I will reformat Wikiposts from using quite boxes as I edit them. Ugh.

So the post above mine, #22, has a large space (like 10 lines) between the word "Quote" and the actual quote. This is in Chrome. However post #16 does not.
In Firefox post #16 also has it, along with post #22.

Is this a different issue?

Unless they fixed it in the wee hours of this morning, I'm not seeing that same issue on my Chrome. See attachment below:

I only began having the issue a few days ago. It's quite bad for me. I have to scroll to the right to find the box where I can reply as it goes entirely off screen. I use Firefox on a Mac.

Can you post a screen shot?

Also, be sure there is not a big photo in the thread where it is happening -- usually it's a large photo somewhere in thread that causes this need to scroll.

Oh, I get it. If there is an ad, then it makes the quote skip many lines (cause it doesn't resize the text correctly, or at all). If it isn't a quote and there isn't an ad then it just appears normally (the text is just moved to the left of the ad).

Yes, it's the ads. I know we have to have them, but couldn't we restrict them to just the r.h. margin instead of actually in people's posts?
