Forum Tools drop-down gone? (No.)

Since some time this morning, the "Forum Tools" link (which used to be a slide-out drop-down menu that allowed me to Mark Forum Read, among other things) has gone missing.

Additionally, the new implementation appears to take me back to the front page of FT after Marking the Current Forum as Read, whereas the old functionality used to leave me in the same forum. Since my usage pattern involves having one browser window dedicated to FT, and one tab for each forum I typically read, the old functionality fit my browsing style quite well.

Is this a bug, or a new "enhancement"?

I see the same thing. I don't really like the new "feature". I'd like to see the old drop-downs back.

I'm very confused - you said the "Forum Tools" link has gone missing but it's right there in the picture you posted, and it's showing on mine. Do you mean that it is showing there, but you when you click on it nothing happens?

No, I mean that it used to have a down-arrow next to it, and when you would click on it, it would open up a menu that included 4 things you could do (one of which was "Mark This Forum Read", and another was "Subscribe to This Forum", but those are the only two I remember.)

Now, when I have the menu like it shows in the thumbnail attached to my OP, I click on "Forum Tools" and it takes me to a section at the bottom of the page, below the thread listing, and the four links are there.

However, when I use THAT "Mark Forum Read" link, while it does indeed mark the forum as read, it also takes me back to the main FT page with the list of all the different forums I can go to. Then I have to navigate back to return to the forum I was in. The old functionality would just mark all the threads in that forum as read, and leave me in that forum.

Note: Since I've posted originally, sometimes I will get the Forum Tools with a drop-down menu, and sometimes I get the "new" forum-tools-at-the-bottom-of-the-page functionality.

Just for reference, attached is an image of what it looks like when the drop-down menus are present.

I am seeing neither of the things you mentioned -- when I mark the forum read, it stays on that forum. And when I click the down arrow at Forum Tools, it drops down the same 4 options as always.

Clear your cache and cookies and see if it persists. If it does, tell us your device type and browser version (and if you are using the mobile skin or the full site).

It appears to be working correctly now (did not clear any cache). Possibly a forum upgrade? (not sure if it's front-ended by Akamai, or what, but doesn't really matter).

BTW, was using Firefox ESR 38.7.0 which I think is equivalent to 44.1 or something.
