Websites with excessive, poorly placed ads...
So, anyone experience one of these lately?

Flyertalk. A vertical banner ad often blocks much of the first few posts on my iPad. Maybe the numerous changes I have noticed on FT in the past few days will address that.

Not really, although I have noticed one website that is using a square ad where a rectangular one would make much more sense (and get more clicks).

I will agree that the only web site that has given me real problems with ad placement is FT. Chronic!

Yahoo Sports, which used to be a decent site

I hope I am not the only one who keeps getting those obnoxious ads for Muslim and Russian dating services, complete with provocative pics.

Flyertalk mobile is obnoxious right now and borderline unusable.

The ads you see are often based on your browsing history ... :D
I do read the DailyMail on occasion, so maybe the algorithm has pegged me as a desperate loser  |
The FlyerTalk Technical Support and Feedback forum is not one in which we discuss other websites.
If you are experiencing problems with advertisements displaying on FlyerTalk, please use the current thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...een-shots.html. If you're having issues with other sites, there may be a better place to discuss those on the site in question. JDiver, Moderator |
