A really stupid request: can you see the special characters in my signature?

I put a couple of unicode emoji characters in my signature.

I'm curious if they're broadly legible. Can you see them? If so, are they recognizably the "no one under 18" symbol, an airplane taking off and an animal?

If they are not recognizable, what shows up instead? And what phone or computer OS and what browser do you use?

eta: Will it show up here if I edit it.
eta2: no, it won't. See post #9 although it's good to know that it won't show if I post from Android.
eta3: for the lazy, copying the unicode bits of the sig into the body text here.
eta4: Nope. copy and paste into a message body completely fails!

No sig, and it's not blocked. (Firefox, Mac, OS 10.10.5.)

To OP: I used to.

No sig now. Did you post on a phone or tablet? If so, there's no signature. You have to post in the non mobile version of FT for the sig to show up. Win 10. Firefox.

I just checked the "Show Signatures" box to test, and there is no signature. Windows XP and Firefox. Now back to uncheck it again.

Ah, interesting. I thought it was purely avoiding the signature because I was viewing it on the tablet when I posted. How about now?

Let's see if copy/paste shows it to you:

[My Blog] "I do have a cause, though. It's obscenity. I'm for it."
This is not a secret message.

I'm seeing it on Firefox via Windows 10. The emojis are visible in your actual signature; it appears that when I copy/paste, we just get some question mark special characters.

copy and paste of unicode seemed to have failed, and that also got the not-so-secret message.
(There's also a "world map" emoji in the spoiler space)

BTW, that's also what I use.

Thanks! I guess that bit of unicode is pretty universal by now.

I see no signature, but I turned them off 8+ years ago.

(Serious question - why would anyone leave them visible? Do you enjoy seeing someone's favorite quote or their YTD EQM's repeated 7 times down the page? )

They blend into the background, but some are clever. I do try to change mine occasionally!
