First new post on stickied threads?

Searched without success: why is there no "Go to first new post" button for stickied threads? Same for "View First Unread" link when viewing a stickied thread?

I can see the View First Unread link when opening this thread in a forum where I am not a moderator:

...and also in this one where I am a moderator...

Perhaps you are not seeing the link because you have viewed all of the posts?

Just for giggles, went to AS forum (contemplating a match), and stickied Flame Free forum at top has View First Unread post link.

I think mia nailed it @:-)

Thanks for the replies. Subsequent to my post I did come across some cases where things were working correctly, but in this forum I had no way to jump to the First Unread on the http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/talkt...-5-austin.html thread when there were in fact posts I had not read. I checked one other forum and saw no First Unread links, so fell into thinking it might be a wide spread problem. Today there is a First Unread link even on the Mod Do thread in this forum. So, now I know it is not a universal or repeatable problem, but something clearly went wrong the other day.
