I can no longer read the news articles

I just get a page showing Internet Brands Travel Logo.

I didn't use to have problems. Any suggestions?

It's working fine for me.

I'd try clearing my cache and cookies first.

What OS and browser are you using?

shawbridge Jul 26, 2015 8:44 am

OS X 10.9.5
Chrome usually.

I'll try clearing cache/cookies.

I've cleared cache and cookies and still can't see the news articles.

I'm using Vista (yeah, I know) & Chrome. I can see them.

Cheers.

Are you talking about the home page?

Can you post a screen shot?

When did this start?

shawbridge Jul 29, 2015 11:53 am

If I click on a news story from the home page or if I go to News on the menu bar and then clock on a story, I get a page that looks like what I've pasted in below. It used to have an Internet Brands logo at the top of the page but no longer does. I probably first experienced it a few days before July 25. I've never posted a screen shot, so let's hope this works. My first attempt failed, so I'll have to go figure out how to do so.

That's got to be a browser issue. Try using a different browser?

He's using Chrome, as am I. I don't have the problem. He does. It's not necessarily a browser issue, but trying to check to see if it works w/ a different browser as a comparison would be helpful to help you determine what the problem is/how to fix it if there is one.

Cheers.

By "browser issue" I mean with his installation of it, not that Chrome is bad per se. And yes, that's the point of trying to switch, since IE or FF will have different settings and resource files on his computer.

If it were happening to me, I'd try to uninstall and reinstall Chrome. Particularly if there have been several layered updates to the existing version.

Had the same issue since a couple of weeks. Disabling ....... Plus (or any other add blocker installed) helps ;)

Somehow, the full content is flagged as ad-content.

One of many good reason why such addons are prohibited at FT.

While they might block ads - which IMO deprive IB - FT of revenue, which I suspect could ultimately have IB looking at its revenue streams and at instituting membership fees if this became very common - they could otherwise interfere with site functionality by inserting yet another layer of software (not necessarily designed with vB and browser compatibility into the systems.

TANSTAAFL. :)

Thanks, I have ABP and thought I had specifically disabled it for this site a long time ago. but it looks like I had disabled Ghostery instead. Now I have disabled ABP and I can look at news stories. Problem solved.
