FT not displaying certain letters etc
 

FT not displaying letter "e" with accent mark, even in username
i noticed it with posts a little while ago, just noticed usernames
there should be e with accent mark within following brackets [é]

may also sometimes not display things like euro symbol
there should be euro symbol within following brackets [€]

anyone can quote my post to see (and admin/mods can edit)

edit - and of course the e with accent seems to be working in this post... first time i have seen it in a while. just today is when i noticed it not displaying in user name. and was reminded of problem in general. that was including around 5pm EST on apr 20.

Interesting. I can see your € é etc., and I can see my äéîòõüú and çñ etc. In some, but not all posts, you can't? I rather suspect it's your browser, but let's see what we get here as responses.

I'm using Safari on an iPad Air II at the moment. I've been using various accents and other marks with no problems ever on FT.

It's possible you may find older posts with special characters issues, but newer posts should display fine.

i guess i dont know what the possible factors are, maybe i overlap with Cheetah_SA.

but again re browser, how could browser 'remove' the character after i edit for example. what i mean is, its displaying, then i edit, and once it loads back to post (even if it was a quick edit not going to edit/advanced screen) it vanishes.
