FT store secure server down?
When I try to complete my FT store order using the link for the secure server, all I get is the following message:
"The requested URL /ft/store.cgi was not found on this server."
Is it just my system? There appears to be no problem with the standard server, but I would prefer to use the secure server.

Hi Dan,
Just checked again and I get the same error message. The steps I took were: 1) Went to the FlyerTalk store front page (the one with "Sidewalk Sale") 2) Clicked on the one of the product names (in this case the luggage tag link), and this took me to the Store - FlyerTalk Luggage Tag page. 3) Clicked the "add to order button" and this took me to the Store - Order Recap page. 4) Clicked on the "Finish Your Order" Link, and this took me to the Store - "Ordering online from FlyerTalk is safe and simple" page. 5) Clicking on either "Complete your order now on our secure server" link ends up immediately giving me the error message "Not Found
The requested URL /ft/store.cgi was not found on this server."
I thought it could have been my desktop system (98SE, English OS, Netscape 7.1) as I have a firewall, ad blocker, etc. running. Turning these off didn't help. So I just now tried the above process on a stripped down (no firewall, etc., just the basic OS) laptop I have (ME, Japanese OS, Microsoft IE), and get the same error message (except that it's in Japanese).
I did notice that the "secure server" links should take one to mileagemanager.com, unlike the standard server which is flyertalk.com. Typing in www.mileagemanager.com takes me to the MileageManager homepage without any problem.
I'll be going into my office the day after tomorrow, and try again there. Going through a different network using my Win2000 Pro system might give different results.

Thanks for the reply... that helps a lot. It looks like somewhere we still have a link to the old store that you seemed to have found. Tim noticed a bad link pointing to the old cart. He's going to redirect it to the proper place, so you shouldn't receive the errors any more.

OK, I didn't get the error this time around, and was able to place my order using the secure server link. But I am a little concerned because at no time in the ordering process using the secure server link did I get "https" in place of "http" in the URL location text box to show that SSL protocol was active. Netscape's "lock" icon likewise remained "unlocked" throughout the entire ordering process.

Glad you didn't get the errors...
As for the missing lock, it's probably because you're within the Store's frameset: http://www.flyertalk.com/storefr.shtml
The problem with framesets is that most browsers show the lock if the overall frameset is secure, and don't display it if not. So, even though the page that you're actually ordering through is secure, since it's within our FT frameset, you don't get the lock.
It's an unfortunate side-effect of using frames and we'll probably be moving away from that when we move FT over soon.
If you're not certain about the security of the page when you get to your CC info page, right-click (or CTRL-click on Macs) and select to have the page open in a new window. You should see something like:
https://www.webflyer.com/ft/cart/store.cgi?id=(string of random numbers & characters here)&f=orderform
