Ads on the top AND side?

Holy crap! I totally hate tribalfusion to no end. They query your machine to see if you have visited this site within the past 24hrs and if you haven't, they POP and ad.

Otherwise, ads.

Good lord.

Excuse me? Each and every site that uses cookies will check for a recent cookie on your machine, it's the only way an ad company can continue to offer you new offers. Every time you visit FT the board software will also check for cookies, there is no personal information being sent and they have no way of connecting your email to your visit.

If you're referring to the latest "attack" by Expedia, I agree that it's a pain. I really appreciate what FT does, but wish that I could pay a fee each year rather than deal with the increasingly intrusive ads. In any case, it discourages me from ever buying anything thru Expedia.

--edited to add that I just saw the thread about this issue on the only Randy forum. Sorry if I posted my frustration in the wrong place. But I hate what these new add placements are doing to my view of FT.

Please -- no ad issues in the tech forum, unless they relate to tech issues.
